This is an urgent appeal for another compound for our newly admitted 'special needs' dogs. We believe in giving injured animals a chance of life and provide veterinary care, recuperation and rehabilitation. Sadly, spinal/other injuries resulting in hind leg paralysis are quite common in Sri Lanka. We give regular physiotherapy and hydrotherapy with the hope of getting these dogs mobile again.We have had many successes. We also buy carts for those dogs that are unable to mobilise independently, so they can get out and about with their friends at the sanctuary and enjoy a quality of life they deserve. We are caring for many disabled dogs and pups and desperately need another compound to accommodate these animals. Donations towards this compound would be greatly appreciated.
