We raise funds for start-up research in to innovative children's cancer treatments

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Childhood Cancer is the worry of any parent and I would like to do my part in helping to secure funding for research into causes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer.

Please take some time to have a look at www.friendsofrosie.co.uk and see if you can help make a difference.

This year I've set myself a challenge of riding 3200km (2000 miles or 166 miles/month). Now, that might not sound like much but when working full time and juggling family, 166 miles a month is a massive undertaking.

So, to get the ball rolling and to bolster the 324 miles done so far, I've entered into a number of organised cycling sportives/rides.

May 8th - Chris Hoy 100                                               May 22nd - Ride for Amy 100                                       August 28th - Mark Cavendish Rise Above 100     October 22nd - Macmillan 100 mile Cycletta

I will also be riding on Friday afternoons, clocking up 30-40 miles. So if you can pledge a penny or a pound, I would be extremely grateful.

Friends of Rosie provides start up funding for new research ideas into child cancer. Proposals are invited for research into many aspects of the disease. This allows projects to get off the ground and run until they can reach a stage when they attract more funding from the major national charities.
