I have been selected by Project Trust to go abroad to South Africa for 12 months. During this year abroad I will be working in Helen Bishop Home in Kimberley that works and cares for children with Cerebral Palsy. I will work closely with the staff currently there and will help the children with their therapy and also with the everyday essential care that these children need. I will also have the chance to set up extra-curricular activities if my time allows it.

I will be living in a flat which is attached to the Home, with project partner for the year which will encourage independence and maturity.

Project Trust is an non-profit charity that sends around 300+ school leavers overseas every year to work mainly in teaching, social care and outward bound projects in Asia, Africa and The Americas.
