Story
So here's the thing:
I like to think I don't ask for much. Truth is, I don't want much. I have a great job, an incredible (if long-suffering) boyfriend, amazing friends, and a good quality of life.
Which is why each year on my birthday (30th August), I ask for people not to give me stuff I could buy for myself, but to instead give money to my chosen charity.
GMFA is a charity dedicated to raising awareness of sexual health issues for the gay community in London, including publishing the bi-monthly magazine, FS.
They currently receive no government funding to continue this vital (and effective) work.
If you've ever read one of my columns, shared it on social media, asked me a question, or simply dropped me a message to tell me my story has made you think, then please, please, just bung a couple of quid in the direction of GMFA. Because without the platform they give me, I wouldn't be able to play my small part in helping all you lot be a little safer, wiser, or more empowered when navigating the sexual health minefield.
So dig deep and help me ease the pain of turning 35, and let's make this my most successful birthday fundraiser ever!
As always, thanks for reading
