Story
South London Cares is an excellent charity that brings senior citizens together with young professional members of the community at social events around South London. Kristin and I have been volunteering with them for the last few months and it has really brought us closer to the community in our home-away-from-home in South London.
We have truly enjoyed our time volunteering at movie nights, trivia days and pub visits with our senior neighbours!
The charity is small, so every little bit helps them in an enormous way! For example, £20 helps them put on a movie night (Kristin and I recently watched Brooklyn and The Lady in the Van with Annette!), £40 helps put on a trivia night for our friend John (he's a former bus monitor with a mountain of good stories) and £150 helps provide transportation for up to 14 new neighbours to attend one of the social clubs!
Please help us keep this charity going by donating! As a bonus, you'll get to see me attempt to run 13.1 miles through the streets of London while being chased by a double decker bus!
Ok, that last part isn't exactly true, but you should still help us out if you can!
