Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

On 16th & 17th July, Dan & I are participating in the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge - an annual event which involves cycling 146 miles (with a night of camping in between!).

This is predominantly to raise money for a fantastic local charity, 'Ryedale Special Families' which provides care and support to families of children and young people with disabilities, illness or additional needs throughout Ryedale.  Their work includes the provision of support groups, respite care, special education advice, advocacy, one-to-one parent helpline, therapy and meeting rooms, home visits and family social events.

Despite being physically fit, this will be a big challenge to both of us with such a high mileage - especially getting back in the saddle for round 2 on the sunday! Padded shorts at the ready - and I'm still trying to get used to being 'clipped in' to the pedals, with the bruises to prove it!

Fundraising makes such a difference to the service this charity can offer, and every little helps so we are extremely grateful for any donations, no matter how big or small!
