Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We are raising money for the Lymphoma Association (LA) by running the London Marathon on Sunday 24th April 2016. Lymphoma is the fifth most common cancer in the UK and every 40 minutes in the UK someone is diagnosed with it. Lymphoma can affect anyone at any time. The LA support those affected by lymphatic cancer by providing the best information, support, care and treatment possible. Just £15 can help the LA provide support and information to one patient and their family to empower them through being diagnosed with lymphoma.  This is a first for ALL of us and it would be great on the day to know we had reached our target so please sponsor us - THANK YOU.

Hayley -  The last big fundraising event I did was in 2013 when I  completed a sprint triathlon. The London Marathon is one of those events I watch on TV every year and think that one year I would like to take part. In truth I have never really given it a second thought, until this year - turning 30 has a lot to answer for! After joining the long waiting list for the Lymphoma Association earlier in the year I really didn't think there was any chance I would be running in this years Marathon. However, in December the LA contacted me as someone had dropped out, so I bit the bullet and said yes!

Many of you will know the reasons why I personally raise money for the LA, but for those of you who don't - I was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma in January 2009. After 9 months of chemotherapy I have been in remission since September 2009 and received my 5 year clear last year. This is going to be an enormous challenge for me and I take no shame in saying my mission will be just to complete it. We have a huge target (£1800 has been requested per person by our charity for the gold places) to reach between us so please sponsor us and in turn this will help the LA help those affected by Lymphoma as they helped me. Alex - My name is Alex. I am honoured to be part of the London Marathon 2016 but most of all being part of the team raising money for the Lymphoma Association. Before meeting the Benham's I had no idea what Lymphoma was or how serious it could be, which is why I am 'attempting' to run the Marathon. It is a fantastic cause and any donation makes a difference to the LA, so please give generously and I will do my very best.

Jess - My name is Jess and I have always wanted to do the London Marathon however when I accepted the place I don't think I knew what I was letting myself in for! Being only 21 it is frightening to know two people of a similar age to myself who have had Hodgkins lymphoma. I found out about the LA when I met Hayley and couldn't be more happy to support people who had been in a similar situation to herself. We have a MASSIVE target to reach, so any donation, big or small, will help us achieve it :)

Kieran - I'm Kieran. I feel very privileged and excited to be taking part in the London Marathon 2016. As a sport enthusiast, I have always looked to conquer any challenge presented before me. Although this will be a great personal experience and achievement I believe that there is a much bigger picture to be seen raising money to help those affected by Lymphoma. It feels very rewarding to know that my effort and contribution along with the money raised by the team will go towards those who need it the most. Little or large, any donation will be deeply appreciated.
