I am travelling to South Africa to build an orphanage!

When I was younger I remember watching an Oxfam ad on the television and being very moved, as a 7 year old I didn't understand why their lives were as they appeared and what made me different, that thought stayed with me( I always think of Phil Collins song, "Another day in Paradise" if you aren't familiar have a listen.). And years passed and every time I saw ad's of that nature I had the same yearning to do something, to help in some way. When I was 17 I looked about fundraising to go and do just that, however not long after my 17th birthday my dad passed away and I lost all enthusiasm to continue with the application. Then I became and adult and life happened, which pushed it even further away from my list of priorities.
So when Steve Blunt an old family friend came into my place of work and told me all about what he does as a charity and then invited me to also go, I was thrilled and I finally felt that I would be able to dedicate my time to fundraising and this time I am determined that nothing will stop me from helping, I want to give something back.
