Story

14/06/2016

Gill and Joan (Aimee's Aunt and Nan) held a bake sale at the L&D hospital earlier this week. They both slaved away baking with the help of Wendy (Aimee's Mum) and Ward 22 of the hospital. They did amazingly and raised £315.68. Half of the money raised goes to Aimee's Fund and half goes to Ward 22 - the ward on which Aimee used to work. A huge thanks to everyone who supported and went to the bake sale! :)

Hi!

I really apologise for the lack of updates on this page! Its fair to say I've been distracted with life across the pond in New Zealand. This doesn't mean I've neglected the page at all I just have some belated thanks and congratulations to give to everyone who has supported, shared and donated be it on her anniversary, birthday or any other occasion.

It is hard to believe that in a week it will be 3 years since we lost Aim. It doesn't get any easier to accept that she's gone you just learn to cope with it. We miss you every day Aims!

We are again holding Aimee's annual memorial picnic. I unfortunately wont be there this year but I will be in spirit and aim to Skype from New Zealand. This event is hugely important to those close to Aimee and I hope the turnout is as big if not bigger than the last two years. There will be a raffle, bands and teddies for sale and make sure you don' t forget to bring lots of food and a helium balloon!

Chris Mills, the fiancee of Aimee's best friend Bernie will be shaving his beard off for Aimee's fund. #beardoff4aimee. He's been growing it since his teens so it's kind of a big deal!

Since I started this page nearly 3 years ago I still cant believe the overwhelming support it's received. A whopping £28,360.00 has been raised with £5482.89 in gift aid making a huge £33,842.89!!!!

I'm currently in the process of finding out with Keech what the donations are currently going towards. I will let you know as soon as I know! You can find out more about Keech Hospice Care  at   https://www.keech.org.uk/

All I can keep saying is thanks and I am going to think of some crazy fundraising ideas in the near future.

To find us on Facebook just search for Aimee's Fund.

Lots of love!

Laura :)

Thank you to everyone who donated to Aimee's Fund in time for her anniversary.  We were so pleased to have raised over £21,150 (£25, 738 including Gift Aid) in a year.  This is the most amazing tribute to Aims and she would be delighted that so much is going to help her beloved Keech.  Please keep on fundraising and donating.  Wristbands are now available for a minimum donation of £1 (plus p&p).  Please go to www.facebook.com/AimeeforKeech for details.

Thank you for visiting Aimee's page.  It seems impossible that it is very nearly a year since Aimee died so suddenly.  It is still so hard for us to believe that she has gone forever and we miss her more as time goes by.

Aimee's Fund is her legacy and it means so much to us that such an amazing amount of money have been raised in her name.  We continue to raise funds for her beloved Keech Hospice and we are so grateful to everyone who continues to support us.

We hope to have raised £20,000 (plus Gift Aid) by the first anniversary of Aimee's death ... two weeks to go and we're very nearly there.

December 2013

Hi everyone

Its been over 5 months now since Aimee passed away and she is missed so incredibly much, more and more everyday. I think it is unbelievable how much money has been made on this page and I just want to say a huge THANKYOU because it just means such a lot.

I just want to keep you all posted on where this money is actually going. I have been speaking to Keech and they have let me know that they would like to use this money to provide physio sessions in the hospice. I find it so overwhelming that we have made this happen and creating this page has made such a differance.

So thanks again to everyone that has donated.

Love and miss you always and forever Aims xxx

Dear All,

As you may know Aimee passed away unexpectedly on Sunday. This devistating news has crushed the hearts of many people. She was without a doubt the most amazing sister, daughter, fiancee, grandaughter, niece ,cousin, bestfriend, friend, colleague and the list gould go on and on.

She was perfect, she wouldn't hurt a fly. Aimee had so much going for her and so many plans for the rest of her life. On major one being her wedding to Dan planned for this July. She worked hard to get where she is and has made everyone proud by her achievements especially becoming a fully qualified staff nurse. There is no words to describe the pain this loss is causing her family and friends. Aimee would never moan about anything, she had an ability to cheer anybody up, give the most amazing presents and simply bring joy to peoples lives. I know that many have stories of times they have shared with Aimee so please feel free to share them via facebook.
Anybody that knew Aimee should think themselves privileged to have been assosiated with the most beautiful kind-hearted girl to have ever stepped foot on this earth.

Keech hospice care is an organisation that was very close to Aimees heart, not only does she stand for what they believe in but she also worked very closely with them. She started there on a placement and she then gained a job working at the Luton hospice.

If anybody was thinking of sending flowers for the funeral please feel free to donate to Keech instead. Aimee would apreciate it.

Sleep Tight Beautiful.
