Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

Many of you may know people that suffer with hearing loss. What many of you don't know is that a hearing aid is not a "quick fix". Unlike fitting glasses or prescribing a type of medication, fitting a hearing aid can take months and months of fine tuning and the impact to a child can be tremendous.

There are over 45,000 deaf children living in the UK. Approximately 4 babies are born deaf every day here in the UK.

90% of deaf children are born to hearing parents with little or no experience of deafness or knowledge of how to communicate with a deaf person.

Deaf children need to be able to communicate effectively, access information and influence the world around them by any appropriate method whether through sign language, oral communication or a combination of approaches.

DCS ensure that the Children have the support that they need to achieve without barriers!

So if you can spare a little, you'll be helping a deaf child head for a brighter future:)
