Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Training for and running your first marathon is a challenge for anybody but having a rare life threatening illness to control as well just adds to the challenge. I have Addison's Disease so can't produce cortisone which the body requires to manage both physical and mental stress - I even need medication to just get up in the morning.

However, it doesn't rule me, I like to rule it (or as much as I can anyway) !

So, I am running 26.2 miles to raise awareness of this disease and also to raise money for Durham Wildlife Trust. The trust does great work for both wildlife and people of all ages and from all walks of life.

Nature does count like I will be counting every mile of the 26 - the last 0.2 is the easy bit.....
