Next April Lauren will be running the Virgin London Marathon 2016. She’s running on behalf of her friend D, who lots of you will know is in the process of adopting, and for TACT, a charity who aim to find loving adoptive families for children and young people in the care of local authorities. 

Although she’s a stellar cheerleader, D openly admits she would never run a marathon.

‘For Lauren to be running the marathon on behalf of TACT means such a lot. This is a really important journey to me and many other families - and I know Lauren’s own marathon journey will be challenging in its own way. When is it you hit the wall? 21, 22 miles? Please support her from now until the finish line, a whole 26.2 miles.’

In running the marathon and fundraising together we hope to raise the profile of and say a big thank you to an organisation that works tirelessly to ensure children and parents are supported through the adoption journey.
