Story
N.B. Last bread day now this Friday 25th (not Saturday)! Order by Wednesday 9pm)
I love making sourdough bread and by bread I mean bread, not the stuff they call 'bread' sold in most shops and supermarkets. I believe once you've tasted real bread, you can never go back.....a bit like when you first hear the Dharma. So I'd be happy for you to taste real bread, and in the process help others to have the opportunity to have the taste of freedom at Vajrasana Retreat Centre.
How does Sourdough Saturdays work?
I'll be baking on Saturday morning for 4 weeks - 5th March/12th March/19th March/(Friday)25th March.
With your donation you will pay in advance for however many loaves you want during these weeks. It's easier for me if you commit to the full four weeks.
My suggested donation for each 650g loaf is £3.50 (a little bit more
than your local artisan bakery, but hey, it's for a good cause).
Please calculate how many loaves you want and for which weeks and donate to the Just Giving page accordingly. (I'm limited by my oven to around 16 loaves a week, so you may have to be a bit flexible if I get an over-order on one particular week).
For this reason, it's important you tick the “I'm happy to be contacted by.." box after you donate, just in case I need to alter your order for reasons above.
Please give your donation and your order by the end of the Thursday before the Saturday pick up- sourdough takes time to make!
Please don't be tempted out of generosity to give more than your total (sounds strange I know), as it could artificially limit other people being able to order a loaf!
