Story

Our beautiful daughter Layla was born on 16 May 2010 at Kingston Hospital, one day after her due date. Sadly, due to complications, she passed away in our arms the next morning. The staff at the neo-natal unit worked through the night trying to save her life. We will be eternally grateful for the dedication, love and care they showed to our daughter.

We are very fortunate to have the neo-natal unit at Kingston. A neo-natal unit provides around the clock care for new born babies who are ill or born prematurely. Between 6 and 10 percent of all new born babies spend some time in a neo-natal unit.

We are raising money for the charity which supports Kingston's neo-natal unit called Born Too Soon, who urgently need funds to carry on savings babies' lives. Money is raised through this website, JustGiving. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Born Too Soon and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Our target is £3,000, but if you see the money rising over this, don't let that put you off donating. Please dig deep!!

Thank you for your support.
