I am running The Windmill Half Marathon in July to help raise funds for a great local throat cancer charity The Swallows. Who are looking to buy a vital piece of equipment for our local Hospital in Blackpool.

We have all been touched by this disease and i lost my Cousin Janet Boardman to throat cancer 3 years ago. Janet who was from Lytham St Annes but also lived in Reditch in the midlands and spent her 15 years or so in Exmouth Devon, was a real character and was dearly loved by all of her family and many friends      

I will also be running in memory of Charlene Surtees who was my sister in law who we lost to cancer 2 years ago Charline was only in her early 30's leaving behind Husband Rick and 4 lovely children.   

Also remembering other family and friends who we have lost or have been touched by this disease
