On 13th May 2015 my lovely little niece Lucia was born. She was born with a genetic condition called Albinism, which means she has virtually no pigment in her eyes, hair or skin, meaning she is visually impaired and will have to wear sun cream every day for the rest of her life as her skin has no protection from sunlight. Albinism is an under-recognised and under-funded condition and to that end I'm looking for your pennies!

Between March and September 2016 I plan on running over 100 miles (over 160 km) in a series of events I'm calling my 'Legwork for Lucia' - a mixed set of events of various distances on both road and trail, including the Mid Sussex Marathon, a couple of half marathons (including the famously difficult Hastings Half Marathon), and more 10ks than you can shake a stick at. One of the 10ks I'll be running with my sister (Lucia's mum, who isn't a runner but is putting herself through it for the cause), but to add interest (and difficulty!) I'll be running that one in dress up (I'm thinking of a white rabbit outfit, Alice-in-Wonderland stylee, but suggestions welcome!). Clearly on top of all this I'll have to train for these runs so goodness only knows how many actual miles I'll end up doing!
