Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My Dad, Alistair, died a few months ago from MSA (multiple system atrophy).
The worst thing about this disease is that it is still very rare and even many health professionals don't know enough, if anything about it.
It took ages to get a diagnosis for Dad and then we found there was no cure for it. Although we then knew it was terminal, we didn't think he would be taken from us so soon.
We have learned a lot about it now, of course, including the fact that research and further awareness of the disease are desperately needed to hopefully, one day find a cure, so before Dad died, he requested to give his brain for research into this neurological disease.
He was only 62 when he died and has left a huge hole in mine and my two younger sisters lives (we are 17, 16 and 11) as well as everyone who knew him.
Please follow the links below and then you'll be one more person who is informed about this illness.
In a few days, I will be cycling 600 miles over 11 days from England to Toulouse and want to raise money for the MSA trust, in memory of my Dad and all the other poor sufferers.
If you feel moved to donate to the charity for research, then everything will help.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and wish me luck on the ride!
Lennox.
