On Sunday 26th June, I will be running the Hadrian's Wall Half Marathon in support of Medicinema.  It will be 13 miles of cross country running, and I am aiming to complete the run in 2 hours. 

Medicinema is a charity which builds state of the art cinemas in hospitals in order that long term patients can watch a film in hospital, and enjoy a few hours of normality and escapism, which so many of us take for granted in our lives. Founded in 1999 they have built cinemas in 7 hospitals, including the RVI in Newcastle.  Last year more than 16,000 patients and families used the Medicinemas, and were able to have a few magical hours watching a film.  The work of Medicinema provides incredible support to hospitals by offering patients and their families a place to go, away from the hosptial wards.
