Many of you know that I volunteer for Pearl of Africa Child Care, a charity very close to my heart, whose main activity is raising funds for the six schools and homes run by the Molly and Paul Child Care Foundation (MPCCF).

MPCCF is a Ugandan non-government organisation which provides education, food, shelter and healthcare to orphaned and destitute children in the Kampala and Masaka districts.

On 19th June, I am going to be heading out to Uganda to visit these schools and to get a better understanding of what day to day life is like for the teachers, children and families that I admire so much.

Whilst my itinerary is yet to be finalised, I am hoping to spend time renovating some of the classrooms which are in great need of repair. To do this, I am going to be fundraising in various ways over the next few months to cover the cost of the materials and your help with this would be greatly appreciated.
