Story
Following on from the success of last years fund raising in memory of our beloved Jane, this year the bar has been set even higher. Danyel will once again be running the Brighton Marathon in Jane's memory and has also taken on the challenge of running the London Marathon just 2 weeks later. So please dig deep and donate whatever you can for this very worthy cause. We would love to take our total fundraising to £10,000 with your help.
On 25th December 2013 life changed as we know it. Jane Carter, Les' sister, Danyel's auntie passed away after suffering from two strokes on Christmas Eve.
Jane was just 41, healthy, active and full of life.
In the 9 days before her death Jane was cared for in the Surgical Critical Care Unit of Kings College Hospital, London, after having her first stroke on 16th December which lead to her having emergency brain surgery.
The Surgical Critical Care Team did everything they could for Jane, always treating her and her family with extreme care, working long hours and under immense pressure.
We began our fundraising in 2014 and Janes parents have been overwhelmed with everyone's generosity. Our aim is to raise enough money to buy a piece of medical equipment for the Surgical Critical Care Unit to assist them in the amazing work they do.
We ask if you could make a donation, however small, so that we can all work together to make this happen.
Thankyou xxx
