For those who are reading this you may already know my story and how I lost my Dad to a fatal motorcycle crash in 2008. As you can imagine this completely changed my life and my families.
He was sadly killed on the A120 between Felixstowe and Colchester on the evening of 22nd October 2008 when a car pulled out on him.
My Dad was a very proud, loving and hard working man who took pride in anything that he did. Something he installed in me and my younger siblings as children that we all demonstrate today.
Although sometimes my Dad was quite hard on us from time to time as children I thank him from the bottom of my heart for doing so. Without out it we wouldn't of been the adults we are today.
SO THANK YOU DAD!
Since 2008 its been a bit of rollercoaster dealing with losing my father but I am now in place where I can look back to the happy memories of his life.
I have never done anything like this to remember and celebrate his short life and I just think its about time.
I have done some crazy stuff for charity in the past like the Marathon I did on a treadmill and 1 mile of burpees but this has to be the craziest.
- Its 30 MILES of obstacles, mud and water wading.
- Its in 5 weeks time (May 15th).
- The most I have run outside is 12 miles.
- I haven't run properly competitively for well over a year.
- There is a time cap. I must do 22.5 miles in 6 hours and 30 miles in 9 hours.
- Its going to be HELL.
I have set myself the challenge of raising £1000 for British Biker Relief Foundation who support motorcyclists and their families across the UK after serious and life changing injuries sustained in a motorcycle road traffic accident.
A charity I am sure my Dad would approve of.
Please encourage, inspire and push me in my training and on race day by pledging whatever you can to this cause. Plus you always feel amazing after donating to charity ;)
AS A THANK YOU TO ALL DONATORS YOUR NAME WILL BE WRITTEN ON MY RACE VEST ON RACE DAY.
So this kind of means you'll be doing a 30 miles obstacle race too. Well sort of. haha.
I want to smash it on May 15th for my Dad and smash that £1000 for BBRF.
Thank you in advance for your donation!
Much Love.
Liam
