A group of us have decided to brave the half marathon in Birmingham on the 16th October! As some of you might know Liam was diagnosed with the child's version of Interstitial Lung Disease in June, so any money raised is going to the child Interstitial Lung Disease Foundation.
As a result of multiple respiratory infections when Liam was first born, paired with milk dipping into his airways, he now has lung scaring. It basically means he needs more oxygen going into his body as he has problems transferring it into his blood.
As chILD is an umbrella name for many different diseases, diagnosis is important so correct treatments can be put in place. We're not yet sure what specific condition Liam has, but we're hoping to work together with doctors to get a faster diagnosis.
As a small charity for a rare group of diseases any funding is greatly received (and appreciated by us!). All donations go towards research into treatments and quicker diagnosis' for children, and support for the families affected by chILD.
Thankyou for donating!
