Soon I will turn 40 - a momentous age, life begins and all that!  I had already decided that I didn't need lots of presents to mark this milestone - and I would much prefer to use the opportunity to raise funds for charity.

Then my husband Mark was offered a place to run the London Marathon for the National Deaf Children's Society.  2 years ago we wouldn't really have had any idea about what this charity do - but since the arrival of our friends gorgeous little boy, we have seen what NDCS do on a daily basis to help children with hearing impairment.

We have therefore decided that NDCS will be the Price family charity of choice for 2014!  Hopefully between my 40th (and associated dancing and partying) and Mark's marathon (and associated blood, sweat and tears) we should be able to raise a substantial amount to suppport the great work that NDCS do.
