Story
In what seems like a very surreal moment, Lucia and I decided that we could, and should run the Brighton marathon this year. Quite odd really.
I'll be honest it's a decision that we regret often, particularly when faced with evening runs accompanied by hail, freezing temps and sideways rain...however, as with most of these things, we've found an important cause to run for, to get us motivated and out running even when we REALLY don't want to.
HEAL are a small charity dedicated to providing shelter, support, education and health care for children in India. Run entirely by volunteers they ensure no donations are wasted on administrative costs, instead it will go towards a number of projects including the Heal Children’s Village in Guntur, Paradise Village for over 1,000 orphaned and underprivileged children in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, India.
So, we promise not to bombard you with tedious Mapmyrun updates, or complain too much about our aching legs, but we'd love if it you could spare a little cash money towards the cause - it all makes a difference.
Banners actively encouraged on the day, possibly assisted walking apparatus for the finish line. And a beer.
