We provide free veterinary care to the working and other animals of Luxor

Story

We are raising money for Animal Care in Egypt (ACE), a clinic that provides free veterinary care for thousands of animals in Luxor, helping both the animals and many people living in some of the poorest communities. I am in my final year of vet school and will be travelling to the clinic to volunteer there for four weeks in August 2015.

To raise money for the clinic, Amy, Bandit and I will be walking the South Downs Way (100 miles from Winchester to Eastbourne) just before I leave for Egypt. ACE's clinic treats a lot of working donkeys and horses that walk many miles during their working lives. We not only love the South Downs, but thought a challenging walk seemed an appropriate way of raising money for these incredibly hard-working animals.

All money raised through JustGiving goes directly to ACE. The money raised will go towards medicines, food and medical equipment. Any donations greatly appreciated, thank you!
