Story
Our very precious 5 year old Ebonie-Rose was diagnosed with a rare Leukemia earlier this year and is going through some very intensive treatments to make her better. Unfortunately, this will not happen over night, and she is being the bravest little granddaughter we know.
Various fundraising events are happening to raise as much as we can for the Starlight Foundation, so they can grant wishes to seriously and terminally ill children and try to put a little smile on their faces. PLEASE give on this page as much or as little as you can - it all helps.
One of the first events will be held at Gossops Green Community Centre on Monday 30th May - Whit Monday - between 12.45 and 3.30pm. Ebonie's Dad, Ben, and Granddad, Keith have agreed to have their heads shaved, and as well as them, well known Sussex angler, 'Sir' Pete Springate has also volunteered to have his flowing locks cut off. They all love their hair very much, so will really need some cajoling to go through with this, so please sponsor them for as much as you can - who knows, by the end of it we might have enough hair to make a small rug!
On the day we will also be organising a mini fete, with a few stalls selling lovely stuff, as well as a raffle with prizes donated by friends and local businesses.
You will also find, coming soon (in June), an 'Auction' page on our website www.freebirdpublishing.co.uk where monies raised from the auction will be donated to both the Starlight Foundation and for Ebonie's family, to help them with some home improvements to help Ebonie. Look out for this page as we need to raise as much as we can to help.
