As you  may know, I work for a local children's charity called Home-Start Central Bedfordshire. Our charity supports young children and their parents who come to us for help for many reasons including poverty & financial issues, disability, ill health & mental health, bereavement and domestic violence & abuse. We also run a number of services for people who have been affected by domestic violence and to try and prevent it happening in the first place.

I am running this race even though I'm scared of heights, not particularly fit and not too keen on mud because I think that the work that Home-Start does is really important. Please donate to help support our work. 

I'm also running in memory of a much loved work colleague Carolyn Binks who I think might have enjoyed doing this more than me!
