Following on from the success of last year, Monday 2 May will see myself and 20 clients, staff and friends from Caring Breaks take part in the Belfast City Marathon Fun Run.

Caring Breaks offers support to adults with a learning disability which in turn gives much needed respite to the family carers.

The fun run is a 3 mile course which will be as much a challenge to us as running the entire marathon will be to the athletes and we have all been training hard.  We are looking forward to a great day out, soaking up the atmosphere in the City, and we might even fit in a wee "fry" afterwards.

We have also entered a team in the relay event and this is made up of staff and volunteers.

I feel very privileged to work for Caring Breaks with very special people who enrich my life on a daily basis.  Your support in any small way would be much appreciated.
