Story
This year, the United Nations WED is shining a spotlight on the
rising impact of the illegal wildlife trade, a leading cause of species loss,
second only to natural habitat destruction. It’s estimated that since the
1970s, the planet has lost more than half of its wildlife populations.
Many of our global offices, along with Allens, will be helping to
raise funds for WWF, one of the world’s largest independent conservation
organisations. Taking an integrated approach to their work, WWF strives to
bridge the gap between communities, politicians and businesses to find workable and sustainable solutions.
Two key projects which your funding can help to support include:
- Tx2 – an initiative across 13 tiger territories which aims to double the number of
tigers in the wild by 2022. - The African Rhino Programme – working to increase rhino populations by 5% each year, and to establish two new populations by 2020.
