This year I've decided to run (or crawl!) the great north run in honour of a very special little lady and a very worthwhile charity. 

My little hero is Molly Thirlaway. In the first few weeks of her life Molly battled the life threatening meningitis infection. She was a fighter from the start and defied all medical expectations,  beating the infection and coming home from SCBU  to her amazing family. 

Unfortunately as a result of the infection Molly has been left with some long term complications, including cerebral palsy, epilepsy and hemiplegia. 

Hemichat is a charity that provides invaluable help and support for families with children with hemiplegia. They have proved to be a vital lifeline for Molly and her family at a time when they were going through their toughest times.. 

Molly always faces every challenge that comes her way with a smile, and a wicked sense of humour. I will be thinking of her every single step I take and hope I can do her proud 😘
