I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for North London Cares as it is a wonderful charity connecting young professionals with their older neighbours. Each and every one of the members who attend North London Cares has been like a Grandmother or Grandfather to me in London - from May who spoke of her years on Hampstead heath to Albert and his snoozes mid movie - North London Cares allows the old and the young to share a little extra time, laughter, practical help and human companionship.
