CAN YOU HELP US HELP MARLEY? We were approached yesterday by a vet to ask if we could save the ...life of a 2 year old yellow labrador who was about to be put to sleep. He had been hit by a car and suffered a broken leg which his owners were not prepared to have fixed. The vets told us that despite his pain, he had been wagging his tail and licking everyone who had contact with him and is a lovely dog. Once the vet had chance to xray him it was established that he has a very complex break of his leg which needs lengthy specialist surgery and plating of the leg together with very careful after-care. The only other option was amputation. Marley has been moved to a specialist veterinary hospital where surgery will be performed tomorrow at a cost of £3,500 hopefully to save the leg. This is such a lot of money for our charity to find we are asking for help from our supporters. If there is any way anyone can think of to raise funds for this boy we would be very grateful. Every penny counts! We could not see such a young dogs' life ended like this. We will post pictures of Marley soon and please everyone send him good luck for tomorrow. THANK YOU! (Should we be lucky enough to raise more than is needed for Marley any remaining monies would go into our Welfare Fund to help any future such cases)
