Story

CenTre Neonatal Transport Service is the only dedicated transport service for premature and sick new born babies in the East Midlands. Each year they transfer over 1400 babies and their families.

The service covers 14 different maternity units within Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire region. Babies are transferred to the closest hospital that can provide the specialist care they require. Once the baby has recovered they are transferred back to a hospital closer to home to continue their care until they are well enough to be discharged home.

Fundraising by families and staff has already enabled us to buy specialist equipment to help babies who have suffered a lack of oxygen at the time of their birth. Your support will help us to do more and to continually improve our services making a difference to the lives of babies and their families who need them.

CenTre is a dedicated team with the patients and their families at the heart of everything we do. Thank you for supporting us.
