Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We're taking part in the Born Survivor Series Challenge. A series of three grueling obstacle courses across the country to earn the title of Super Survivor. Our first challenge takes place on 9th April 2016 in the Lake District, followed by Birmingham on 16th July 2016 and finally finishing in Manchester on 24th September 2016. You can find out more about this challenge here- http://www.born-survivor.com/headquarters/
We are both keen to fundraise for a local charity through the Born Survivor Series and as we both work/train in the healthcare sector and have an interest in the support that is available to individuals in our home town we decided to fundraise for Approach. Approach are an independent, Staffordshire based dementia organisation who aim to promote the wellbeing of people with dementia. Currently there are over 250,000 people affected by dementia in the UK and this is set to grow to 1 million by 2025, therefore it is very likely that we will all know someone at some point in our lives who is affected by this devastating disease. The work Approach do is therefore so important and their services help not only individuals with dementia, but also their carers, family, friends and anyone else who may be affected by dementia. You can find out more about Approach here- www.approachstaffordshire.co.uk
