The idea for the walk came about from my Mum. She wished to raise some money as a way to say thank you for the care she received whilst ill with a heart condition. This is also to remember those whom have suffered or are suffering through heart conditions or with cancer. 

I have chosen to walk The Northumberland Coast Path. This starts at Cresswell and finishes in Berwick upon Tweed, 64 miles in total. The route is along coast paths and the beach and takes in some of the highlights of the Northumbrian Coast.
