Firstly we would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our page. We have decided to cycle from Collier Row to Dorset in memory of our Country Grandad.
He wasn't only our gentle giant he was also a real life hero. Having worked for the London Fire Brigade he was part of a special group of people that dedicate their lives to saving others.
Over the years Grandad worked tirelessly raising money for a number of charities. This work earned him his B.E.M. an achievement we are all proud of. We hope that we can make him proud by raising money to support an amazing charity- The Fire Fighters Charity.
During his later years Grandad received support from The Fire Fighters Charity. Our Nan has since been supported by them and we want to raise as much money as we can to enable them to support other Fire Fighters and their families in the same way.
Having decided that we wanted to give back to those that helped our family we dusted our bikes off! Just 8 weeks ago we were novice bike riders we'd hardly ridden a bike in years.
We will be setting off from Collier Row Fire Station on the morning of Saturday 24th September 2016 if you would like to come and wave us off!
If you wish to make a donation, no matter how much, we would be extremely grateful.
Thank you for you support and encouragement.
Mark, Tony, Andy, Tom, Ed and Al.
