Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As most of you know Charlotte & Alexia were born at 23 1/2 weeks in June 2009  After losing Lexi within 24 hours, we pinned all our hopes on Lottie's survival after her transfer to the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Unit at Medway Hospital.

The care & compassion the Team at Oliver Fisher gave both Lottie as well as Julie & I, was outstanding and Lottie made huge strides during her three months on the unit. Devastatingly, after her return to our local hospital, we lost Charlotte at 100 days old on the 10 September 2009.

To commerate the love & strength our amazing little girl showed us, I coerced a group of friends into joining me to cycle from Medway Hospital to Paris to raise money for the Trust and a cause so very close to my heart.  Our Team of NIC JONES, KEN KENNISON, & MATTHEW HUTCHINGS, ably supported by DAN MORRIS, will be departing on the 6 September 2012, our route will cover 300 miles within three days - no mean feat for a bunch of fattening, drinking, middle-aged men!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Theyl send your money directly to Oliver Fisher and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for OFSCBT.

We hope you can please sponsor us for as much as you can and know that you are helping to give premature & sick babies the best possible care for their start in life.

As we arrive in Paris on the 8th September I know that however hard the journey has been, we would never have battled as hard as Lottie did in her short life.
