I am raising money for the St John Palliative Care Unit in the Galloway Community Hospital Stranraer in memory of my dad Tom Wastle who passed away on 26th November 2014 in the unit. This unit is essential to families like us, providing compassion, support and the extra personal touch of refreshments, toiletries, towels and sleeping arrangements for all the family that travelled from afar. Most of all the unit gave us the comfort of knowing that dad spent his last hours where he wanted to be surrounded by his family yet in the safe caring hands of the staff. We will forever be in debt to this amazing unit.
