Ian and I are raising money for Blood Pressure UK as we recently lost our mother Patricia,who suffered a fatal stroke more likely as a result of having high blood pressure.

High blood pressure is the biggest known cause of disability and premature death in the UK through stroke, heart attack and heart disease. One in three adults in the UK has high blood pressure and every day 350 people have a preventable stroke or heart attack caused by the condition.

Most people that suffer with high blood pressure don't actually know that they have the condition until the have a routine check up at their GP surgery or worst case, they have a stroke or heart attack, which is why the condition is known as the "silent killer".

High blood pressure can be monitored and controlled through simple lifesyle changes and medication.

Together, lets raise as much money and awareness of this condition and start saving lives.
