Story
YFC One is the YFC (Youth for Christ) gap year programme. It is an opportunity to work alongside experienced youth workers in youth environments, such as in schools; giving RE lessons, assemblies and running lunch-time and after-school clubs. The gap year programme starts with ten days of training at the Evangelism Training Conference, after which I will be working at one of the YFC bases in the UK. There is further training throughout the year, with a few more residential trips and a fortnightly ‘Hub’ training day. Some of this training will be part of the Equipped for Ministry course, and I have the opportunity to do the required coursework to receive a Moorlands Bible College certificate at the end.
I feel that there really is a need among young people to know the word of God, especially in Britain, and I know God will use me during my time with YFC. This will also be an important time for me as I am coming home to my country of birth after living in Brazil. I hope that God will really work in my life during this year.
I need to raise a sum of money for my gap year to cover the fees for the course.
