Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are running the Bristol 10K to raise funds for the CJD SUPPORT NETWORK, in the memory of our cousin Mark who recently passed away after a short battle with CJD at the young age of 36.

CJD is Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease and is an incredibly rare neuro-degenerative illness, affecting less than 1person in every million, there is currently no treatment or cure.

CJD normally only affects people over the age of 55.

This is very difficult time for the family made harder by the many questions about the disease that still need answering. The CJD Support Network have provided us with fantastic support throughout this awful time however they no longer receive any funding from the department of Health and now they rely 100% on income donated or raised by members, friends and the public. So please dig deep and give anything you can to this fantastic cause!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
