Story
On 25th September 2016 I shall be running my first ever full marathon. It's a hilly one in the heart of the Scottish Highlands! The full length of Loch Ness to be precise and I shall be stopping to look for Nessy along the way!!
On 18th May, our world was hit with the shocking news that Weasel had a Liver tumour. We celebrated her 12th birthday 3 weeks later and every day since has been a precious day with her. She has touched the hearts of everyone who ever met her and she melted our hearts when we met her at 10days old. She came to live with us when she was just 6 weeks old because she escaped from her 7 brothers and sisters and wanted a quiet life! 12 years on she continues to make our family complete. Never just a dog - a member of the family and one that is loved so very much.
Sadly Weasel left us on 3rd September so will not get to see mummy cross the finish line but she remains in our hearts forever.
Animal Cancer Trust work hard to raise awareness of cancers in animals for pet owners and vets. Early detection is critical for effective treatment and just knowing the warning signs and symptoms could mean that an earlier intervention is possible.
