Story
Thank you for visiting this page. As most people know, my Dad recently passed away after a long struggle with renal failure, something not many know about.
Myself and other family members, including my Mum, who was married to my Dad for over 30 years, will be taking part in climbing Snowdon at the start of september, giving us plenty of time to fundraise. The £300 is a personal rough target for me and my mum, if we could raise more than that we would be over the moon completely!
Renal failure is to do with a person's kidney functioning, and when it reaches a certain percentage, the person relies on dyalisis, a life saving machine, which my dad relied on 3 times a week, 4 hours every time. I feel that through doing a challenge such as climbing snowdon, I can help to raise the awareness for Kidney failure and the charities that work with this horrible disease, and eventually one day, they will receive the recognition that perhaps charities for other diseases get.
I know nothing will bring back my Dad, but hopefully if this helps to inform people of how awful the disease is, and in the future may eventually saves lives, then I know were all doing a good job.
Rest in peace Dad, When i lost you, a lost a huge part of myself that I will never get back. Love and miss you always, your baby! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
