A few months ago, I went out for a few drinks with a friend. The following week she 'reminded' me that I'd agreed to abseil off the Forth Rail Bridge to raise money for VOCAL. Whilst slightly surprised at this news, I'm happy to help them out - even if it means dangling on a rope 165 feet above the icy waters of the Forth!

VOCAL is the Voice of Carers Across Lothian - an organisation run by carers for carers. They support and empower over 5,000 people every year who provide unpaid care to a friend, partner or relative in Edinburgh and Midlothian. Many carers are unaware of the support available to them, or what they are entitled to. VOCAL work with them on a one-to-one basis to help identify the issues affecting them, and achieve the best possible outcome for carers. To continue doing this they need your help - any donation you give to VOCAL goes directly to providing essential carer support services such as counselling.
