https://www.justgiving.com/Jessica-Hepburn/ is the real reason I have this page. Our determined and inspiring Executive Director has been training for two years to swim the English Channel to support the Lyric's life-changing work with young people.

I am merely going on the support boat!  But I am nervous of 24 hours stuck on a boat in all temperatures and friends are worried about me being sea sick and I am conscious of staying strong to be Jessica's main cheerleader and assist with feeding...so I hoped that you could support me to support Jessica and the Lyric. The money raised by us both goes into the same pot to assist disadvantaged young people to take positive control of their lives and return to education or employment.

As you know I love what I do at the Lyric but I never expected to be watching my boss swim 21 miles taking possibly 18 to 20 hours without ever touching the side of the boat or a person or wearing a wetsuit.  I feel privileged to be a part of an extraordinary challenge and will keep you posted as we take off, weather permitting, sometime this week.
