We give children in crisis chances to give them a better start in life

Story

On Sunday 18th September I'm taking part in the London Duathlon in Richmond Park. It starts with a 10km run, followed by a 48km cycle then a 5km run to finish things (and me) off.

Sadly the summer hasn't been as packed with training as I'd hoped and I'm not the vision of fitness and health I was planning to be at this stage in the game so I'm expecting it to be a really tough day.  So if I'm going to go through all this pain then someone has to gain!!

I want to raise some money for a charity which I only learned about recently but which I think do very important work. They're called Buttle UK and provide help to families in need through small grants for things such as beds for children who sleep on sofas or share with their parents, new fridges in homes where a fridge has broken down and there's no money to replace it and, what I think is really great, swimming lessons, football lessons and the like for children whose families are unable to provide them.

Please sponsor me for the duathlon on the 18th and hopefully I can raise some money to support Buttle UK in the great work that they do.
