As you know I am leaving Standard Life to do some work with various charities. Starting on my new career the way I mean to go on I thought that, rather than invite people to a leaving 'do' where lots of people would buy me (and each other) lots of drink, or have to pretend I didn't see the surreptitious attempts to smuggle a collection and card round the team, I would ask that you send me off by making a donation to the Lothian Autistic Society. My son Andrew - who many of you know is the light of my life - has Asperger's Syndrome and the support I've had over the years from The Lothian Autistic Society has been fantastic.
