Health wise, the past few years have been tricky to say the least. I had my urostomy formed four years ago which was the beginning of me getting my life back. The following four years have seen me in and out of hospital numerous times for further treatment and surgery. After a final round of surgery I am finally mended. 

I wanted to do something to mark my return to health and in a moment of madness applied for a place in the Great Newham Run. I am intending to power walk the course, finishing in the Olympic stadium. Raising money for the Urostomy Association will give me the opportunity to raise awareness and to give something back.
