We found out in March 2015 that our 6 yr old daughter had a large hole in her heart and needed open heart surgery. As a Mummy and Daddy we were really,really scared but Phoebe was very brave, she just took it in her stride. The staff at Leeds Hospital were amazing, always only a phone call away to answer any questions or  just to reassure you that everything was going to be okay.

Phoebe finally had her operation on the 14th August 2015, when the surgeon was operating he found more holes on the wall of the heart. He had to repair these too which meant Phoebe was in theatre even longer.

Phoebes operation was a great success and the surgeon called Phoebe "a little Star", she will never forget that.

Phoebe was out of intensive care in 24 hrs and was recovering really well. The children's heart surgery fund had a massive impact on how Phoebe recovered, they raise money for the tv's, dvd's, toys, games, lovely story books and lots more. They supported us as a family.

I have raised money over the years for different charity's, doing my crazy fitness challenges, supporting friends and clients ............this time its personal, its for a great charity who helped us xxx
