Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I shall be running the London marathon to raise money for VSO in April 2016. I've chosen to run for VSO because I previously worked as a volunteer Teacher Trainer for them in Eritrea in 2005- 2007 and experienced first hand the impact VSO and its volunteers has in developing communities. Education is the key to developing a nation and its people. it's something which we in the west take for granted but in so many countries it's not a given right for children to go to school. My time in Ertirea was truly humbling and has had a lasting impact on me, my ambitions to work in Africa in the future and my educational philosophy. I was meant to be the one doing the Teacher Training and teaching in schools when out in Eritrea but it was me who seemed to learn, grow and gain so much during my two years. Now it's time to give something back to VSO and help them continue with the sustainable development projects they have across the world not only in the field of education but health care, business development, and agriculture

Please support me in supporting the work of Voluntary Services Overseas- thank you!
